A major financial institution was in need of a complete encryption service that could cross the legacy VB 6 to .NET boundary. The system had to be able to encrypt data sets as small as 4 bytes to over 1 megabyte quickly and without repetition. Previous systems had experienced issues over time, when the algorithm used to encrypt the data sets could not be identified in stand-alone encrypted sequences. Early internal analysis projected this project at 6 man-months and $250,000. |
